Pastoral Counseling: The Pastoral Counseling Team is dedicated to providing a compassionate listening ear and work a biblical perspective in a brief, solution-focused process. Counseling is a confidential meeting of two or more people in which a counselor listens to the counselee describe a personal or family life problem while the counselors give empathy, hope, encouragement, prayer, advise based on wisdom from the Bible. The counselors spend time listening, asking questions, and giving advise intended to help the counselee resolve the challenges they are having. The counselor uses prayer and scripture to welcome God's presence into the healing process. Sometimes one session is all that is needed while other times the counselor suggest a series of follow-up sessions. Counseling is only one part of the overall ministry.
